Scholarship Recipients
Each year we present the Len Seroka Memorial Scholarship to students that have shown a commitment to their studies and a passion for motor sports. The announcement and presentations are made at the MOPAR Mile High Nationals each July at Bandimere Speedway in Morrison, Colorado. If you are student that has the drive to better themselves, we would like to encourage you to apply! Cash comes from a drag racing family and has been racing Junior Dragsters since he was nine. He was the Western Conference Finals champion and Division 4 Team Champion. Cash was also chosen as a Buick Achiever Scholar. Cash will be attending Columbia University for his degree in mechanical engineering. His career goal is to work in the field of R&D for a professional race team.

The 2014 Len Seroka Scholarship recipient was awarded to Chynna Candlin. The Silver Plume teenager has won a national team championship, reached one individual final and got to the quarterfinals at the 2013 Junior Drag Racing League Western finals this past June.

Tyler Edwards of Denver, Colorado is the 2013 Len Seroka Memorial Scholarship recipient. Tyler comes from a racing family. He has been exposed to racing his entire life. He wants to continue his racing career through his education. Tyler holds Go-Kart championships in the state of Colorado.

The 2010 Len Seroka Scholarship recipient was awarded to Joe Mares. Joe is a student at Wyotech. His goal is to become a member of a professional racing pit crew.

The winner of the 2009 scholarship was Bri Bandimere. Her life goals are to complete her college education and to eventually drive a top fuel dragster. Bri already races and we believe that her energy, dedication, and perseverance will assure that she achieves her goals.

Matthew Lovato was the 2008 recipient of the Len Seroka Memorial Scholarship. Matt received his $1000 check from Amber Seroka, Len’s niece, at the MOPAR Mile High Nationals while friends and fans looked on. Matt was beginning his freshman year at Adams State College in Colorado and was majoring in Marketing. His goal is to do motorsports marketing in NASCAR.

Ido Waksman is the 2012 Len Seroka Memorial Scholarship recipient. Ido Waksman is an engineering student at Purdue University. We are expecting great things in the future from Ido.

The 2011 Len Seroka Memorial Scholarship was presented to Sidney Edwards. Sidney grew up with racing and now races go karts. She has flown in from her race at Miller Motorsports in Salt Lake to receive this award. Sidney is a junior at the University of Colorado and is majoring in Communications. Her goal is to become a sport commentator in motorsports.
